These Terms of Service govern the Rafter J BBQ automated SMS temperature monitoring alert program.
2. SMS Program Description
Rafter J BBQ operates an automated temperature monitoring system developed in-house using Python and the Twilio messaging platform.
The system sends SMS notifications exclusively to the authorized business owner when monitored temperatures rise above or fall below configured safety thresholds.
This program is intended solely for internal restaurant equipment monitoring and safety notifications. It does not send advertising, promotions, or marketing messages to customers.
3. Consent to Receive Messages
Participation in the SMS alert program is voluntary.
The authorized recipient provides express consent to receive automated temperature safety alerts by completing a written consent form and providing the mobile phone number designated to receive notifications.
Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
4. Message Frequency
Messages are sent only when a monitored temperature exceeds or falls below its configured safety range.
While an unsafe temperature condition continues, alerts may repeat every 15 minutes until the temperature returns to its safe range.
The total number of messages varies according to monitored equipment conditions.
Message and data rates may apply.
5. Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to an alert.
After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message, and no additional alerts will be sent unless you enroll again.

7. Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery of SMS alerts depends on cellular network availability, Twilio service availability, and other technical factors.
8. Equipment Monitoring Disclaimer
The automated SMS system is a supplemental monitoring and notification tool. It does not replace regular equipment inspections, food safety procedures, or other required safety measures.
Rafter J BBQ does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or delivery of every temperature alert.

SMS consent information and mobile phone numbers are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
10. Changes to These Terms
